Kapoor and Sons

Kapoor & Sons, a 2016 movie, is directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar. It is a romantic-drama film with a gist of comedy. Arjun and Rahul, estranged brothers, come back to their hometown after many years to meet their Grandfather, as he suffered from a heart attack. While Rahul, played by Fawad Khan, is a successful writer, Arjun, played by Sidharth Malhotra, still struggles with his book being published. Later, Rishi Kapoor, as Amarjeet Kapoor(their grandfather), wishes to have a family photo before he dies. Meanwhile, the relationship between both the brother’s parents fails due to Harsh’s extramarital affair. Alia Bhatt as Tia falls in love with Arjun, but a certain misunderstanding takes place when she and Rahul share a moment. Towards the end of the movie, the truth about Rahul’s manuscripts is revealed. On the other hand, Harsh suffers an accident when Sunita gets to know about his affair and tends to leave him. After four months, the family comes together to capture a family photo with the cutout of Harsh, named, “Kapoor & Sons, since 1921".
