Directed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Mukhomukhi is a Bengali drama film based on the play Abayab written by the director himself. The film tells the story of an existential playwright and novelist, Isha, and her partner Agnibha, a ruthless critic. In the middle of reading Isha’s novel about an estranged couple, Agnibha suggests changing the ending of her novel; bringing out the complexities and idiosyncrasies of their relationship. The film features performances from actors Jisshu Sengupta, Rajatava Dutta, Gargi Roychowdhury, Darshana Banik, Payel Sarkar, Ushasie Chakraborty, and Padmanabha Dasgupta.
