June 29, 1966. A unit of American soldiers comes upon a significantly bigger enemy force while on a regular mission in the Vietnamese jungle. The unit is brutally attacked despite being outnumbered by over 10-to-1. The triple-canopy forest is thick and muddy, making rescue unlikely. For his acts that day that went above and above the call of duty, one paratrooper would be awarded the Medal of Honour. This movie is an exploration of the struggles that the survivors faced in 1966 and continue to face now. Some of them had enlisted as youngsters after volunteering. Some others were chosen. Years later, several people returned to Vietnam in search of closure and serenity. This documentary is directed, shot and produced by Shawn Kelley.
