Sister Swap: Christmas in the City

Two Sisters (played by real life sisters Kimberly Williams Paisley and Ashley Williams) swap cities to pursue new projects in the 12 days leading up to Christmas. The sisters, both surprised to find new love in their new settings, combine forces to help one another learn valuable lessons about trust, support, and competition. Meg Swift (Ashley Williams) has always been the local community-building, cheerfully-helpful dynamo-barista-who-gets-you-going in her small town of Hazelwood, Utah. This year, though, with the passing of her beloved Uncle Dave and the subsequent closing of his movie theater, Meg has had a little trouble feeling the Christmas spirit. It isn't until a visit to Salt Lake City for Christmasshopping with her sister, Jennifer (Kimberley Williams-Paisley), and nephew, Simon, that she starts to feel something change. When Meg offers to help throw a Christmas party for Jennifer's restaurant as part of a local contest, she alsofinds that her Christmas spirit returns. As Jennifer leaves and Meg begins to manage the party with the restaurant's Joe General Manager, Joe Miller (Keith Robinson), Meg immediately begins to realize that she has some big shoes to fill in her sister's stead. As Meg and Joe work to win the contest and win the local Food Bank a large donation to boot - she is excited for a chance to prove herself, despite the fact that she and Joe have very different ideas about how to throw a Christmas party. Still, the two find themselves drawn together as they volunteer to pack food boxes, decorate cookies, and ice skate with the restaurant staff. When the restaurant problems begin to mount and a massive snow storm threatens the party, Meg doubles down on her effervescent personality, the connections she's made in the Salt Lake community, and her sharp eye for detail - to make sure it happens. No, it's not how her sister would do things, but with her signature sense of teamwork and community-building, Meg finds her strengths lie in new places than she'd looked before.
