Myanmar is the world’s second largest producer of opium & has seen many internal conflicts between the tribes & the government over autonomy that was promised to them upon independence in 1948. With a civil war that has lasted long & cost thousands of lives, as well as growing social difficulties, drugs have become an integral problem. When law & order systems proved inefficient, an anti-drug organization founded by Kachin Christians- ‘Pat Jasan’- declared a war on drugs. Pat Jasan launched a mass movement destroying drug fields & hunting down dealers, while offering help for addicts and farmers. Witness their efforts in this eye-opening feature.
