Urumi: The Warriors Who Wanted to Kill Vasco Da Gama is a 2011 Indian Malayalam language film directed by Santosh Sivan. This is a period action drama film which follows the story of a 16th century warrior, Chirakkal Kelu and his journey. Chirakkal Kelu is the son of Chirakkal Kothuwal, who is killed by portugese explorer, Vasco Da Gama. Kelu is thirsty for revenge and wants to kill Vasco Da Gama. On his journey for revenge, the Chirakkal princess joins him. Towards the end, a deeper meaningful message is portrayed. The film was also remade in Hindi and Tamil language and was dubbed in Telugu.
