Prithviraj Sukumaran, the multi-faceted talent is currently on a high with the excellent reviews received by his latest outing, Aadujeevitham. The survival drama, which is helmed by master craftsman Blessy, has been receiving immense love from both the audiences and film industry members. The Goat Life, which hit the big screens on March 28, 2024, is now on its way to emerging as the biggest blockbuster in Prithviraj’s acting career. Interestingly, Aadujeevitham has a connection with the actor-filmmaker's directorial debut, Lucifer – the release date.

Is March 28 the lucky date for Prithviraj Sukumaran?

For the uninitiated, Prithviraj Sukumaran made his directorial debut in 2019, with the Mohanlal starrer Lucifer. The movie, which is an action-packed entertainer, was released on March 28, 2019. As you may know, the star-studded film emerged as one of the all-time highest-grossing films in the history of Malayalam cinema, by making a total collection of Rs. 127 crore within its lifetime run. The release of Lucifer was a career-defining moment for director Prithviraj Sukumaran, who had never assisted any directors before or learned filmmaking academically.

Now, the magic of March 28 is back with yet another career-defining film in Prithviraj's career. The actor, who has completed over 2 decades in the film industry, delivered his finest performance so far in the Blessy directorial which was released on the same day as Lucifer, but 5 years later. Along with the unmatched critical acclaim, Aadujeevitham is also performing exceedingly well at the box office. The current trends suggest that the survival drama will soon emerge as the all-time highest-grosser in Prithviraj’s acting career. The multi-faceted talent is also expected to win all the major awards and accolades this year, for his brilliant performance as Najeeb Muhammed.

Prithviraj Sukumaran shed every inch of his energetic, confident persona to play the brutally abused small-town man from Kerala, who was forced into slavery, in the Blessy directorial. Initially weighing around 98 kilos and later shedding over 31 kilos to look the part, the talented actor went through a nerve-wracking physical transformation. But Prithviraj’s performance in the movie, which is based on Benyamin’s best-selling novel of the same name, is much more than the physical transformation. This time, March 28 returned to shower the multi-faceted talent with all the love and respect he deserves, for his unparalleled dedication to his craft.
