Aadujeevitham, the survival drama that stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, is now gearing up for its grand theatrical release. The movie, which is helmed by Blessy, features the multi-faceted talent as the real-life character Najeeb media outletMuhammed. As reported earlier, Prithviraj Sukumaran went through an extreme physical transformation for his character in the film. In a recent chat with a leading Malayalam media, the actor recalled his weight-loss journey and made some interesting revelations.

Interestingly, the leading man, who shed around 31 kilos for the perfection of his character Najeeb in Aadujeevitham, revealed that there was no diet plan. The only way to shed so much weight was to undergo rigorous fasting. Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed that he fasted for three days continuously while shooting the scenes, which shows the extreme transformation of Najeeb. During those days, the actor only consumed water, as he was playing the part of a man who had no food to eat.

In the interview, Prithviraj Sukumaran also revealed that he fainted while filming a desert scene. According to the multi-faceted actor, the team was shooting a scene in which his character Najeeb is supposed to look at the sky and run through the desert aimlessly. The actor successfully shot the scene but blacked out right after director Blessy yelled "cut". Prithviraj revealed that he was inside a car when he finally woke up, having no clue about what happened.

For the uninitiated, Prithviraj Sukumaran had gone through this extreme weight loss journey twice. Even though the team planned to wrap up the entire filming in just two years, the movie, which originally started rolling in 2018, was delayed multiple times due to logistic reasons and later the pandemic. The COVID-19 wave hit the world when Prithviraj, Blessy, and their team were filming the actor’s scenes involving the actor’s transformation in Wadi Rum, Jordan.
The crew was stuck at their location for over three months due to the shooting restrictions. After returning home, the Aadujeevitham team went back to shoot the rest of the portions when the restrictions were finally lifted. As mentioned before, Prithviraj Sukumaran had to go through this extreme weight-loss journey yet again to maintain the continuity of his character.
