Aamir Khan seems to have rejected Rs. 120 crore offer from Prime Video for his movie Sitaare Zameen Par. According to trade analyst Komal Nahata, the actor took this step to wait for at least the eight-week window before his film releases on OTT. "The idea is to make people choose the big screen experience again by not giving them the home-viewing option so soon," a source close told News18.

Aamir Khan almost confirms the news in a new interview

While talking to New Indian Express, Aamir Khan appears to have confirmed the very news. "Lot of offers and proposals have come my way but I have said no to everyone," he said.

The actor's current goal is to revive the theatre business. "I want to revive the theatre business which is facing a lot of difficulty with each film’s release," he shared, adding he doesn't believe it is a dying business. "Theatres are very much alive; we just need to make good films and build more screens," the actor shared, while citing how countries with lower population have more screens that India, which boasts of highest population in the world.

Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par will see him back on the big screen after Laal Singh Chaddha failure. Apart from the actor, the RS Prasanna directorial will also bring back Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh to Hindi films. The movie is currently a theatrical exclusive release and will be out on June 20. While reports do suggest an OTT release at a later stage, Aamir currently tags them as rumours.
