Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par reportedly hit a hurdle when the makers were suggested two edits and they refused to do so. As per sources, the makers were to meet the Central Film of Board Certification (CBFC) on Monday to get clarity on the same. Now, Sitaare Zameen Par is officially cleared by CBFC. The film will also be open for advance booking soon.
Whether Aamir Khan's much-awaited Sitaare Zameen Par made the edits remains unclear, but the film is now cleared by the CBFC. The movie is scheduled to release only in theatres on June 20.

The RS Prasanna directorial, Sitaare Zameen Par, will now open up for advance booking soon. The movie is expected to earn Rs. 10 crore minimum in advance booking according to the trade experts. Since the film is a theatrical release only, the numbers could go up too.
Sitaare Zameen Par faced a minor issue with CBFC since the film body suggested two edits which Aamir refused to comply to. The actor-filmmaker is of the belief that certain edits cannot be made because the film would get affected with these kinds of edits. Thus, Aamir reportedly stood by his word. However, there's still no clarity on whether the edits were made before Sitaare Zameen Par was passed by the censor board.
Apart from Aamir Khan, Sitaare Zameen Par marks Genelia D’Souza Deshmukh’s comeback to Hindi films. The movie is the Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film Champions, originally adapted from the Spanish movie Campeones. Sitaare Zameen Par will also bring Darsheel Safary of Taare Zameen Par back on the big screen. Interestingly, Aamir has maintained that Sitaare Zameen Par is the soul sequel to Taare Zameen Par. The film will be out in theatres on June 20 as scheduled.
