Aarya: An overview through the seasons

In the final moments of Ram Madhvani's opulent family crime drama, Sushmita Sen lets loose her inner goddess. The series has changed from its debut in 2020 to its final installment in 2024, much like its protagonist. Aarya Sareen, played by Sushmita Sen, remains a fiercely protective mother and a woman with exceptional self-preservation skills, but in Season 3's last second part, she has grown significantly from being a relatively helpless widow to an unstoppable force of nature.

Aarya's persistent altruism and her cunning, resourceful methods are insufficient to rescue her from the web of misery that she has gotten herself into. She fights with a persistent feeling of sinking, as if nothing will ever be the same. Only in the final episode, when Aarya accepts her fate, comes of age, and lets go like a beast with nothing to lose does that sinking feeling change.
