Aasif Sheikh spills details of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai co-star Deepesh Bhan’s death: ‘He played cricket after working out’

Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai actor Deepesh Bhan’s demise took the Television industry by shock. While everyone was mourning his death, Deepesh’s co-star Aasif Sheikh spilled some details about how this actor died. It involved Deepesh fasting, working out and then immediately playing cricket.

Aasif told ETimes TV that Deepesh died of brain haemorrhage. One of his eyes were bleeding, Aasif recalled, adding that Deepesh had low blood pressure after he woke up. Despite that, he worked out and then played cricket. The actor bowled six balls an entire over but when he tried to do something as simple as picking up his cap from the floor, Deepesh collapsed.

Unfortunately, the actor could not be saved even if the hospital was just a five-minute drive. Aasif shared that he had warned the actor to not over-exert himself.

“Lately he was so much into gymming, running and I had also told him that after 40 one has to slow down a little bit,” the actor recalled. He said that Deepesh had a point to prove and so, he would work out for three hours straight and skip meals at night.

Aasif has been associated with Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai since the show began. Deepesh joined in later but made a name as Malkhan Singh, a character who would try to woo girls unsuccessfully. Whether the character would exist on the show anymore, remains to be seen.

Deepesh’s last rites took place on Saturday evening in Mumbai. The actor, who was also a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and FIR, is survived by a wife and one-year-old son.
