Hindi film actor Abhishek Bachchan is doing things his way quietly but surely. As per the latest report, the Big Bull actor has got rights to the Hindi adaptation of Oththa Seruppu Size 7. Helming the Hindi remake as the producer while also starring in it, Abhishek is said to have begun the shoot for the film in Chennai.

The actor is reported to be impressed by R Parthiban’s 2019 thriller which has an intriguing plot about a man, who is a suspect in a murder case, being interviewed. R Parthiban wrote, directed, produced, and also starred in the film which entered the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records for featuring a single person to write, direct, act and produce a film.

It is possible that Abhishek has also set the same goals to enter the Book of Records with his Hindi remake of the film. The film title is not disclosed yet. The script has been modified to have a pan-India appeal but will maintain the ‘gritty flavour’ of the original. As per a report in Mid-Day, Abhishek has flown down to Chennai to begin talks, set up production infrastructure, and is ‘thoroughly involved’ with the project which he considers his ‘baby’. The shooting is in progress at a steady pace and subject to stringent adherence to Covid-19 precautions as the team is keen on doing the shoot on a start-to-finish schedule.

Cell phones are not being allowed on the shoot to avoid any leak of shots from the sets as the makers have made it very clear that they want to keep every detail of the film under wraps for now. The Manmarziyan actor has donned a special look for the film which is yet to be revealed.

Oththa Seruppu Size 7 bagged two awards at the 67th National Awards. The film, which falls in the experimental genre, secured the Special Jury Award and the Best Audiography award for Resul Pookutty.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan will also be seen playing an SSC-fail politician in Tushar Jalota’s Dasvi, alongside Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. The 45-year old actor has also completed shooting for his upcoming movie Bob Biswas.
