Aditi Shankar has begun shooting for her second film Maveeran in which she will be teaming up with Sivakarthikeyan. The film is helmed by Madonne Ashwin. The actress shared a picture of herself from the set and captioned it 'Day 1 of her shooting for Maaveeran (sic)." The shoot for the film began earlier in August and Aditi joined the set in September. 

The launch was attended by Aditi's father, director Shankar. The production house shared a series of pictures and captioned it, "#Maaveeran / #Mahaveerudu shoot began yesterday. Thank you @shankarshanmugh for gracing us with your presence!” Aditi too thanked the team for having her on board. "Thank you @madonneashwin sir and @iamarunviswa sir for having me onboard💯 @Siva_Kartikeyan sirrrr can’t wait to start shooting alongside you🔥🧿 So happy that Appa was by my side on this special day ♥️ #Maaveeran (sic)."

The actress, who made her acting debut with Karthi's Viruman, had shared her excitement about Maveeran. She had written on her social media handle, "Super excited and honoured to announce my next #Maaveeran with the sensational @Siva_Kartikeyan sir🔥award winning director @madonneashwin 💯produced by the enthusiastic @iamarunviswa sir @ShanthiTalkies & the whole team @vidhu_ayyanna @bharathsankar1 @philoedit @DoneChannel1 🙏 (sic)." The film's title announcement video was released by Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu.

The star cast for the film includes Yogi Babu, Mysskin, Saritha and YouTuber Blessy. Music for the film is by Bharath Sankar. Aditi won praises for her performance in her maiden film Viruman, a rural entertainer directed by Muthaiya. The film opened to positive reviews and was declared a success at the box office as well. Maveeran's director Madonne Ashwin had recently won the National Award for his maiden work, Mandela, which had Yogi Babu playing the lead. In the meantime, Sivakarthikeyan is awaiting the release of his next Prince, directed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame.
