Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan starrer Metro... In Dino gets postponed; to be released on THIS date!

After the runaway success of the ‘slice of life’ film Life In A Metro, there were many who were anxiously waiting for the sequel to the film. Buoyed by the expectations of the eager audience, the film’s makers decided to make a sequel, keeping the basic essence of the film intact. The film’s makers (producer Bhushan Kumar and filmmaker Anurag Basu) had earlier announced that the film would have a sequel titled Metro... In Dino which was scheduled to be released in theatres on December 8, 2023.

Metro... In Dino gets a new release date!

The latest update on the film’s release is that it has now been decided that the film will be released on November 29 this year. The same was announced on the social media handle of T-Series with the caption, "Get ready for a journey through urban romance like never before! #Metro... इन दिनों in cinemas on 29th November 2024."

Metro... In Dino to be a multi-starrer

Just like Life In A Metro, the film Metro In Dino will also be a multi starrer. The film stars an array of actors, such as Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Readers may recall that we reported that the film Metro In Dino will mirror the stories of two bittersweet love stories in a contemporary setting. The said stories, which will be of modern day and age, view and analyse the concept of love from various angles, moods and hues.

Just like the previous film, Metro In Dino will also have music composed by the extremely talented Pritam Chakraborty. As for the film’s direction, it will be done by Anurag Basu. On the other hand, the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu.

For the uninitiated, Life In A Metro was released in 2007 and starred veteran actors Dharmendra and Nafisa Ali, in addition to Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi.
