Adivi Sesh’s Major gets ‘mad reactions’ for its Pune preview, tickets sold out in Jaipur and Ahmedabad

Adivi Sesh is giving it his everything to promote his dream project, Major, across nooks and corners of the industry. The biopic of army man Sandeep Unnikrishnan, written by the actor himself and directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, releases worldwide on June 3 in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar play the female leads in the intense saga.

As part of its promotional campaign, Major team is hosting pre-release previews in nine cities across the country; the first screening was held in Pune yesterday. Expectedly, it went well, even prompting Sesh to tweet, “#Pune is where #MajorSandeepUnnikrishnan got his start as a soldier. #Pune is where the #Major Premiere tour has begun. Interval now. Mad reactions Thank you God. #MajorOnJune3rd.”

Later in the evening, a viewer who caught the preview claimed that Adivi Sesh ‘did it again’ with Major and added that the film proved to be an edge-of-the-seat experience in the last thirty minutes. ‘It’s a story that had to be told,’ the viewer mentioned. Retweeting the opinion, Sesh said, ‘It begins #MajorTheFilm.’ Meanwhile, the previews in Jaipur and Ahmedabad are sold out already and the tickets are being purchased like hotcakes across other cities too.

The film was even censored U/A yesterday with a 148 minute runtime. The video version of the first single Hrudayama will release later today. Vamsi Patchipulusu is the cinematographer of Major while Sricharan Pakala is the composer. Abburi Ravi has provided script assistance to Adivi Sesh as well. Major is jointly produced by A+S Movies, GMB Entertainment, Sony Pictures India.
