Emma Mackey is currently on cloud nine after the tremendous success of Barbie. The Sex Education actress has played one of the Barbies, beside Margot and Dua Lipa. It's been reported that Barbie's budget was $140 million, and Mackey got paid $30,000 per episode, but after taking the box office by storm with $1.40 billion, her payment got a raise, and she received a staggering $300,000, according to Showbizgalore.

No wonder Emma is having a great year! It's been reported now that she will next be seen again in another big project, Ella MacCkay, which will be directed by none other than, James L. Brooks. The 83-year-old director has won three Oscars for Terms of Endearment in 1984. It's a story where a former widow Aurora Greenway (Shirley MacLaine) and her daughter, Emma (Debra Winger), have a strong bond, but Emma marries teacher Flap Horton (Jeff Daniels) against her mother's wishes. When the marriage grows sour due to Flap's cheating, Emma eventually splits from him, returning to her mother, who is involved with a former astronaut (Jack Nicholson). Soon, Emma learns that she has terminal cancer. In the hospital, supported by Aurora, she tries to make peace with Flap and her children.
