Suddenly, the 65-year-old mass star Sunny Deol is one of the most in-demand performers in Hindi cinema because of the massive success of his last film, Gadar 2. The producers of the upcoming Ramayana are reportedly eager to have him cast as Lord Hanuman, according to a report from Pinkvilla. Although those discussions are still ongoing, the entertainment portal has revealed that Sunny has agreed to star in Vishal Rana and Abbas-Mustan's high-profile action thriller.

Once filming Lahore: 1947 with Rajkumar Santoshi comes to a close, insiders say that Sunny will immediately begin working on an untitled action thriller with Abbas-Mustan. Talking about the same, a source told the entertainment portal that Sunny and Abbas-Mustan have been talking about a project for a while, and the pieces have finally come together. It's a large-scale action thriller with the usual unexpected turns from the unconventional directing combo. A source close to the production has stated that it is currently in the pre-production stage and will go on floors in the first quarter of 2024. In addition to Sunny, the script calls for the participation of four more seasoned performers, and the casting process has begun.

Vishal Rana's Echelon Productions would complete the film by the end of the following year. While Abbas-Mustan have previously collaborated with Bobby Deol, this would be their first film with Sunny Deol. The insider added that Vishal has put together this formidable force and intends to use it very soon.

Sunny Deol's busy schedule includes Lahore: 1947 and upcoming projects

In the coming four months, Sunny will begin filming Lahore: 1947, a partition drama produced by Aamir Khan. In addition to the Border sequel, he's talking about scripts for a film with Mythri Productions and adaptations of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. None of them, however, are now featured in the paper. Sunny is currently filming a social drama with Vishal Rana, which may debut in the first half of 2024. This film, with Abbas Mustan at the helm, will be their second time working together.
