Currently, Kamal Haasan is bankrolling Simbu's forthcoming period drama, which will be written and directed by Desingh Periyasamy. The project is in the pre-production stage, and Periyasamy is known for his heist drama Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal (2020).
