Since films have to stream on OTT, 30 days after their theatrical release, the team of Ajith's Thunivu is gearing up for the same. The film's director H Vinoth had gone to Sabarimala to pay his gratitude for the success of the film.

Ajith plays a stylish baddie in Thunivu who robs a bank along with his accomplice Kanmani (Manju Warrier, who is teaming up with Ajith for the first time). The star cast includes Samuthirakani, GM Sundar, Prem Kumar, Bagavathi Perumal, Veera, Ajay, John Kokken, Mamathi Chari, Mahanadi Shankar, Chirag Jani, Darshan, Pavani Reddy, Amir, Ciby Bhuvana Chandran, Bala Saravanan and GP Muthu to name a few.

While the cinematography is by Nirav Shah, editing is by Vijay Velukutty. The film has been bankrolled by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP and distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. After Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai, Thunivu marks the third collaboration between Ajith, H Vinoth and Boney Kapoor.
