AK62 producers acquire Arun Vijay's Achcham Enbadhu Illayae; the film gets a new title!

A lot seems to have happened with Arun Vijay's upcoming outing Achcham Enbadhu Illayae. Yes, the entire rights of the film, directed by Vijay, have been bagged by Ponniyin Selvan and AK62 makers, Lyca Productions. And that's not all! The film has got a brand new title - Mission: Chapter 1 with 'Achcham Enbadhu Illayae' as the tagline. The action entertainer, which was earlier supposed to be a solo Tamil release, will now hit screens in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada as well.

Arun Vijay announced the red hot update on his social media handle, "Thank you @LycaProductions for acquiring the entire rights of #AchchamEnbadhuIllayae now renamed as #Mission : Chapter 1. This collaboration made bigger now in 4 languages https://youtu.be/lO_tP4fKlTk Dir #Vijay @iamAmyJackson @NimishaSajayan @gvprakash @sssmoffl Rajashekar Swathi @shiyamjack @DoneChannel1 @silvastunt (sic)." In the video, Lyca's Subaskaran is seen meeting the crew of Mission: Chapter 1.

The action entertainer stars Amy Jackson and Nimisha Sajayan as the leading ladies. While the film marks the comeback of Amy Jackson (she was last seen in Superstar Rajinikanth's 2.0 in 2018) to Tamil cinema after a long hiatus, Mission: Chapter 1 will also mark the debut of The Great Indian Kitchen actress in Tamil. Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Sandeep K Vijay and editing by Anthony. The stunt sequences have been choreographed by Silva. This is the maiden collaboration between Arun Vijay and Vijay, who introduced Amy Jackson to the Indian film industry with Madrasapattinam (2010).

In the meantime, Arun Vijay has wrapped up the first schedule of Bala's Vanangaan in Kanyakumari. The actor is said to be playing a fisherman in the film. Vanangaan will have Kannada actress Roshini Prakash as the leading lady. The next schedule is all set to begin in Tiruvannamalai after a short hiatus.
