Amongst all the Bollywood celebs with chiseled bodies and a strong core, the fittest and the most active of them all has to be Akshay Kumar. The Bollywood star is known for being a disciplined individual with a routine and fondness for fitness and living a simple but healthy life. All of this has led to him being a top candidate from Bollywood to be featured in Prime Minister Of India Narendra Modi’s weekly address to the nation Mann Ki Baat. The actor today made an appearance to explain the importance of fitness and a life without shortcuts.

In his time on Mann Ki Baat, Akshay Kumar advised people to go beyond the confines of fancy gyms and dedicate their time to outdoor activities like swimming, climbing stairs, badminton, and learning traditional forms of exercise like Mudgar. He said, "I believe that pure ghee, if eaten in the right quantity, is beneficial for us."

As per Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar was talking about the misconceptions the youth have about ghee and how they avoid it due to fears of gaining weight. He advised people to make informed choices and not run behind the chiseled bodies of the film stars. “Actors are often not what they appear on screen. Many types of filters and special effects are used and after seeing them, we start using the wrong shortcuts to change our body,” he said.

Akshay Kumar further spoke about the shortcuts people take to build a good body. He specifically pointed to steroids used to achieve six-pack and eight-pack abs. He said all of this leads to your internal body suffering for the outer visual looks. "Friends, with such shortcuts, the body swells from the outside but becomes hollow from the inside. Remember that shortcuts can cut your life short," warned Akshay Kumar.

"Fitness is a kind of devotional effort. It shouldn't be instant coffee or 2 minutes noodles. Promise yourself no chemicals, no shortcuts, and live a fitter life. From now onwards, don't live a filter life, live a fitter life," concluded Akshay Kumar. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
