Alappuzha Gymkhana was the big release of Nalsen after Premalu's success last year. The 2025 Malayalam film, directed by Khalid Rahman, was instantly liked by the audiences, which translated to housefull shows and good box office numbers. As Nalsen’s hit Malayalam film is set for its much-awaited OTT release on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium on June 13, 2025, here is how much Alappuzha Gymkhana collected during its stellar run at the theatres.
Alappuzha Gymkhana released in theatres along with Mammootty’s Bazooka and Basil Joseph-starrer Maranamass on April 10, 2025. But the young Malayalam star’s film emerged to be the winner at the Vishu box office. The final worldwide box office collection of Alappuzha Gymkhana stands at Rs 70.6 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
The India gross collection of the Naslen-starrer stands at Rs 50.6 crore, while the overseas collection comes up to Rs 20 crore, according to figures on the Sacnilk website. The Malayalam net Box Office collection of the Malayalam sports comedy is at Rs 40.09 crore.
Among the Vishu releases, Naslen’s film is the second film to hit the digital space. Earlier, Basil Joseph’s Maranamass had landed on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium in May 2025. On the other hand, Mammootty’s action thriller Bazooka is yet to make its OTT premiere. Zee5 has purchased the digital rights of the film and is expected to announce a release date soon.
Khalid Rahman’s film stars Naslen as Jojo Johnson. After failing in the plus-two exams, Jojo and his friends decide to compete in boxing competitions, which would help them secure admissions at their favourite college. Lukman Avaran appears as the hot-headed coach, while Ganapathi S. Poduval is another youth trying to win the competition. Sandeep Pradeep, Franco Francis, and Shiva Hariharan, among others, form Jojo’s gang. Anagha Ravi appears as boxer Natasha and her performance in the Panjara Punch song was much celebrated by social media.
