A lot has been reported about Rakt Bramhand, the forthcoming Netflix series, which has intrigued people a lot. However, Raj-DK's grandiose fantasy series was an effortless option for Ali Fazal to sign. But the subsequent events have been somewhat taxing. Since the Netflix series went on floors in September of last year, the actor has been in the midst of extensive preparation.

Ongoing intense training despite postponement

Fazal claims he is still preparing hard for the role, which includes mastering Indian martial arts, weight training, and diction coaching, even though filming of the Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Wamiqa Gabbi–starring series has been postponed until April.

As per MidDay, the actor describes the fantasy series about rival civilisations as requiring intense physical and mental preparation from the very beginning. He engages in weight training, diction classes, and old-school Indian martial arts to enhance the authenticity and rawness of his action sequences. Fazal has been spending nearly six to seven hours a day prepping—from building the right physique to perfecting his speech.

Transformation for the role

The actor elaborates by saying that he has been growing his hair out for the last year in preparation for the Rahi Anil Barve series. Growing his hair was just one part of the transformation; the real challenge has been pushing his body and mind beyond their limits, explaining that for the past six months, he has spent his mornings working out, whether it be CrossFit or weight training.

Rohit Tyson is his trainer; having prepared him for Mirzapur, he knew just what to do to get Fazal ready for this. In 2024, the actor also put into practice what he learnt about Jiu Jitsu. He works out three times a week, first lifting weights for an hour and then mixed martial arts for another, and on the other three days, he does CrossFit for an hour.

Busy shooting schedule ahead

It was previously thought that Fazal would finish filming his Prime Video thriller with Prosit Roy before filming Rakt Bramhand. However, recent reports indicate that both shows will begin production in April. The actor simply expresses gratitude for the lineup this year without going into specifics.

Physically, emotionally, and technically, he is being tested with Rakt Bramhand, Lahore 1947, and Thug Life. Martial arts instruction, dialect work, and the emotional depth needed for a story like Lahore 1947 are all requirements for a single production. While talking to the tabloid, Fazal grinned, his expression revealing how both draining and rewarding it is.
