Alia Bhatt and Sargun Mehta have turned up to cheer for their husbands Ranbir Kapoor and Ravi Dubey being a part of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. The world of Ramayana was introduced earlier in the day, and the wives are now rooting for their men bagging the leading roles in the movie. Here's what they have to say...

Alia Bhatt on Ranbir Kapoor being a part of Ramayana

"Some things don't need words. This feels like the start of something unforgettable," Alia Bhatt shared on Instagram as she rooted for Ranbir Kapoor playing the lead role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana.

Sargun Mehta-Ravi Dubey's reaction to the announcement

Sargun Mehta also rooted for her husband Ravi Dubey playing Lord Lakshman in Ramayana. "2026 ki Diwali ka intezaar meri zindagi ka sabse lamba intezaar hoga. My heart is so so full. Everytime I see the teaser, read the names on the poster my heart swells with love and gratitude. Shukar shukar shukar," Sargun wrote in support of her husband.

While sharing the announcement video, Ravi had called the project 'greatest honour' of his life to be part of the story that shaped generations. He was full of gratitude and wished to celebrate the moment together.

Sunny Deol on being part of Ramayana

Sunny Deol also felt honoured to be a part of the story which has shaped generations. He, too, is grateful to walk the path and share it with his fans. "Let's celebrate this moment," he wrote while introducing the world of Ramayana.

Ramayana, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Kannada superstar Yash as Raavan, Sai Pallavi in the role of Goddess Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lord Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. Part 1 of the film will be out on Diwali 2026, while part 2 release on Diwali 2027.
