Adding another prestigious feather to her cap, Alia Bhatt received the Honorary Entertainment Makers Award at the Joy Awards 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Following her stellar Hollywood debut with Gal Gadot in Heart of Stone, this international recognition further cements her status as a global Indian talent.
The most important part that is receiving much attention currently is her speech. While accepting the accolade, she said, “One of the greatest things in our lives is love. So tonight when I go back home, I take back with me the love of the movies, and the love I have felt here in Ryadh. So thank you so much, and here's the magic of the movies.”
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's marriage became a lightning rod for online negativity. Trolls intensified their attacks after Deepika Padukone (Ranbir's former partner) discussed her mental health journey on Koffee With Karan Season 8. However, Alia's unwavering spirit and her recent international recognition at the Joy Awards have provided a welcome counterpoint to the negativity, reminding everyone of her talent and resilience.
While Alia Bhatt's recent Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone with Gal Gadot has already brought her international attention, her journey on the global stage predates this moment. In 2022, she received the prestigious Time100 Impact Award in Singapore, recognized for her impactful work and ongoing rise in the international film landscape.
Alia Bhatt’s powerful Joy Awards speech has set social media ablaze. Fans are gushing over her eloquence and sincerity, flooding social media with congratulatory messages. The buzz doesn't stop there! Alia's stunning multi-colored embroidered saree, perfectly complemented by a matching sleeveless blouse, is sparking its own fashion frenzy. She radiates ethereal beauty in the traditional attire.
Despite making her post private with limited comments, the 30-year-old actress received more than two thousand comments on Instagram, and still counting. While one wrote, “Just looking like a waow”, other wrote, “Super proud of youuuuu Alia. Loveyouuuu”. Another wrote, “If beauty were time, you’d be an eternity”. A long term fan wrote, “You deserve every award, best actress, best wife, best mom, best daughter, best human.”
However, Alia Bhatt is currently busy shooting for her upcoming Jigra, a Vasan Bala-film. Although we don't know much about the film yet, one thing is sure that we will get to see another mind-blowing performance from Alia Bhatt, after Gangubai Kathiawadi.
