Last year, there were reports of Ameer returning to direction after almost a decade with Iraivan Miga Periyavan which has script penned by Vetri Maaran. Soori and Sathya were said to be playing lead roles in the project for which Yuvan Shankar Raja was roped in to compose music.

The makers had revealed a poster of the film, too. It was heard that the city-centric story would have Ramji as its cinematographer. However, no news pertaining to the project was out since then.

Later, it was announced that Ameer will essay the lead in Nilamellam Ratham, a web series made for Zee5. The project is bankrolled by Vetri Maaran and has Ramesh Balakrishnan at its helm. Billed as a gory film with action episodes, Yuvan was brought on board for this work as well.

Though it's been close to a year, neither the makers nor the digital platform have come up with an update on the series which evoked curiousity among film lovers during the time of announcement.

Now, Ameer and Yuvan are set to join hands for a production venture. The former's Ameer Film Corporation and the latter's YSR Films will be producing the movie which has the actor-filmmaker headlining it. An official note has been released by him, adding that more details on the project will be revealed soon.

Yuvan has been the regular composer for all the four directorial projects of Ameer, Mounam Pesiyadhe, Raam, Paruthiveeran and Aadhi Bhagavan, in the past. Their fans are now looking forward to knowing more about the duo's latest collaboration. They have joined hands for three ventures in recent times and hopefully one of them is expected to be out this year.
