Multiple National award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee took a moment to recall how the Megastar Amitabh Bachchan inspired the former, a young village boy from Belwa of Bihar, to leave his hometown and come to a big city of Mumbai to become part of Indian cinema.  

Manoj said, "Amitabh Bachchan and his films are the reason that somewhere emboldened my dream to become an actor. I was one of those young boys, living in a village and watching movies of Amitabh Bachchan and it was so fascinating! I remember my parents would go to the theatre and tag me along, and it was the film Zanjeer that did a trick on me and since then it was my dream to become an actor. He became the reference to the cinema for me and the entire generation."

The Family Man famed actor went on to add, " I used to look at his on-screen swag, presence, dialogue delivery with a lot of awe that any youngster would do in their growing up years. I followed his acting so much that somewhere it gave me a lot of courage to pursue my dream to become an actor, coming from village. He is that inspiration for me that I personally wish him on his birthday every year."

As Big B turned 80 on Tuesday, many of his friends from the industry wished the veteran actor on social media. Last night, hundreds of people gathered in front of his bungalow Jalsa in Juhu and Bachchan came out, addressed the crowd and had a cake cutting session with the fans.

Manoj was last seen in the Netflix original anthology Ray and will soon be seen sharing screen space with Konkona Sen Sharma in the upcoming Soup. He is also working on two films - Gulmohar and Joram.

The actor is also gearing up for the shooting of Zee Studios' untitled courtroom drama film.
