Ananya Panday may be going through a tough phase in her personal life, but things look good for the actress professionally. The actress has apparently come on board for director Anand Tiwari's film, Bad Newz. The film, backed by Dharma Productions, stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk in the lead roles. Ananya will have a cameo appearance in the film, scheduled for a theatrical release on July 19, 2024. According to a news report, the actress has already shot for her appearance in Bad Newz.

As per a report in Mid-Day, Ananya Panday will be seen playing the role of a popular film star in Bad Newz. The actress' character has a fun element to it.
"Her track is related to Triptii, who plays the role of a chef. The shoot took place last month at a Juhu five-star, where the sequence saw Ananya’s character arriving at the hotel and being immediately thronged by the paparazzi and fans. Later, she shot another scene with Triptii," a source told the tabloid. That said, Ananya will shoot the remaining portion on May 13, 2024.
While making an official announcement about Bad Newz on Instagram, Karan Johar penned, "Get ready for the most entertaining hungama - a hilarious once in a billion situation awaits a comedy inspired by true events!! BadNewz IN CINEMAS 19th July 2024! (sic)."
Bad Newz's storyline
According to the same tabloid, Bad Newz's storyline revolves around heteropaternal superfecundation, wherein a woman gets pregnant with twins from two different men. However, there's no confirmation from the makers about the film's plot yet.
Ananya Panday's work front
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ananya Panday has Call Me Bae lined up for release. The actress is playing a lead role in the series, which will mark her OTT debut.
