Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri have a good and bad news to share - Here’s what the stars said about their upcoming film

Triptii Dimri, who shot to fame after her role in Animal, is currently collaborating with Vicky Kaushal in the upcoming film, Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam. Their behind-the-scenes pictures from shooting a song had recently gone viral. Amid these exciting updates, both Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri have said that they have good and bad news to share with the audience.

Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri's film

Dharma Productions, the official production house of Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri-starrer, has shared a quirky update about the film. In a video message, Vicky said that there is an update about the project – which can have a fair share of good and bad news. Triptii Dimri and actor Ammy Virk also conveyed the same news.

“In a world full of news - we have two ready for you! But which one would you like first - good news or bad news?” read the caption of the video message.

Vicky Kaushal also shared the message on his Instagram handle. Reacting to the announcement, one Instagrammer said, “It’s going to be ‘The News’ for sure”. Another Instagrammer wondered, “Is Bad News the Good News?” “Aap pyaar se bad news bhi sunade to vo good hi lagegi...,” said one admirer of Vicky Kaushal.

What’s in store for Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam fans?

In July 2023, film producer Karan Johar announced the details about his new movie on social media. The romantic comedy stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. Anand Tiwari is directing it. Johar expressed his love for the team and highlighted the project's importance to him.

Via an Instagram post, Karan had said, “A film that is exceptionally close to my heart for various reasons…. @bindraamritpal (the producer and family to me) has not only grown to be such a force of content and talent but I’m proud of how he has created a company of warmth and creativity. A company that puts goodwill over any commerciality. @anandntiwari, his partner and director of our film is the funniest guy in town with a golden heart! His film reflects both in absolute abundance.”

The movie was initially set to release on February 23, 2024, but its release date has now been postponed indefinitely.
