Bollywood director Anees Bazmee has finally clarified the ongoing speculations and rumours surrounding Firoz Nadiadwala's Hera Pheri 3. Much has been reported about the most-anticipated film, from Kartik Aaryan's departure due to his domineering behaviour to Akshay Kumar's return to the franchise.

A source close to Kartik has spoken out about rumours that the producers are dissatisfied with his domineering and controlling behaviour, according to a recent story by ETimes. They clarified the same by stating that nothing has been official in writing as of yet. Additionally, they revealed that the actor hasn't even received a copy of the movie's script. An entertainment website quoted a source as saying, “Kartik had in principle said yes. Nothing was officially decided. And Kartik may opt out entirely if the confusion continues. Where is the question of trying to control the shots when there is no script in the first place?”

The source also made it clear that the actor, who played the sly Raju in both Hera Pheri films, will never be associated with the franchise. The source said, “As for Akshay Kumar, for the umpteenth time, he has not part of Hera Pheri 3, not now, not in the future.”

Director Bazmee clarified the situation by saying that he is still considering the film. He told ETimes, “I have not signed the film yet. It is still a matter under consideration. Until and unless I say yes, yeh Kartik Aaryan is in, Akshay Kumar is out chalta rahega.”

When Paresh Rawal, who plays Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, confirmed the rumours about Kartik being a part of the franchise, the controversy around Hera Pheri 3 began. The fans were incensed by his statement because they believed that, similar to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, he would take over Akshay's role as Raju. Suniel Shetty, who plays Shyam, put an end to all the rumours by saying that the young actor was asked for a different role because Raju is a unique talent.
