The actor has recently been voted by TIME Magazine as one of the Most Influential People in the World because of his choice of films that creates positive change in society but it also causes risks to him.
Due to his positive approach to work in films causing social change the actor has had his equity soaring in the brand endorsement space for years now. Talking about the same the actor mentioned that it's an honour for him to be associated with legacy brands. According to a report on mid-day, the actor said that for someone who has had no backing in the industry, such moments are truly humbling and validating at the same time. "I’m guessing my film choices and how they trigger a thought about social change play a large role in me being viewed as someone who is credible enough for such brands to take the punt on me," he added.
Anek talks about a political and social war that has been going on for years in North-East India. Talking about the same, the actor told the news portal that he always tries to unite the whole country through the scripts he chooses and the characters he plays in the films. He further added, "If I’m being viewed as someone who is contributing to sparking a dialogue and aiming to have a positive social impact, then I’m doing my job correctly."
The Anubhav Sinha directorial also has J. D. Chakravarthy, Manoj Pahwa and Kumud Mishra among others.
Anek is all set to hit the cinemas on May 27.
