Anil Singh teases ‘major twist, strong message’ in Midday Meeal; praises co-star Ranvir Shorey

Anil Singh is putting on quite a few hats for his next venture, Midday Meeal. The upcoming Hindi film has been directed and produced by Singh, who also stars in it along with Ranvir Shorey. The actor director recently unveiled the first poster of the upcoming film.

Singh shared the poster on his official social media handles. It shows him donned in a green shirt, kitchen hat and apron, with a blackboard behind him. The filmmaker captioned the post “Nahi Khaya Hoga Aapne Kabhi Aisa Mid Day Meal, Bane Rahe dekhne ke liye”.

Speaking about the upcoming film, Singh spoke of his excitement and joy as it nears its release. The filmmaker said that Midday Meeal had gone through quite a lot of planning and plotting to get it just right for audiences. “My main aim for the movie was to give something very interesting to the audience with a major twist but with a strong message and I hope that the audience will accept this movie and take that strong message back with them”, said Singh.

He also spoke of the ‘excellent’ work put in by Shorey, adding that the latter’s character is sure to amaze audiences as well. Shorey plays the parallel lead in Midday Meeal.

Talking about the film’s poster, Singh said that it held a special place in his heart, teasing that it sent some indirect, yet strong messages to viewers. The filmmaker promised that the whole message will definitely reach audiences when they see the film on the big screen soon, and asked viewers to ‘stay tuned’.

Rohit A Chandwaskar has penned the film’s script, while Singh has produced the film under his production banner, Chandel films. A release date for Midday Meeal is yet to be announced by the makers.
