Anjan Dutt all set to introduce his detective Subrata Sharma on the big screen

After a hiatus of three years, Anjan Dutta is all geared up with his film for the big screen. Detective Subrata Sharma is the character who is Anjan’s bet this time. The character was developed by Anjan. The director first showed Subrata in a web series in KLIKK. Now the sleuth is coming to the film Revolver Rahasya. After the trailer was launched, Anjan said, “My new book is to be published at this book fair, which contains three stories of Subrata. The film is based on the last story.” 

The film has ghosts and music. According to the director, this will add to the novelty of the film. He said, “I am tired of making thrillers. At this age, I want to entertain the audience with ghosts, detectives, and songs. Hence this film.” 

Suprabhat Das is playing Subrata. Anjan modeled the character on Suprabhat. Anjan said 'Byomkesh and Feluda are good reads. But in reality, if a person faces a problem, they would go to the police. Subrata has come from this reality.' He added, 'I wanted to make Srikanta with Suprabhat. But I saw that everybody was making Srikanta at that time. Hence, I decided to make a detective story.” 

Suprabhat is happy to appear as Subrata on the big screen. He said, “I initially asked him to pen a story on Rudra Sen. Then I saw that he created Subrata. Funnily enough, Subrata's picture on the book's cover is similar to mine.” In his opinion, Subrata is not a conventional detective. “He plays cricket in his locality, helps people with their problems, and falls in love.” 

The film, which will be released on February 3, also stars Tnusree Chakraborty, Sujan Mukherjee, Sudipa Basu, Shoaib Kabir, and others.
