Anni Manchi Sakunamule: Not Santosh Soban but this star hero was the first choice to play the lead

Anni Manchi Sakunamule has become a talking point on social media, largely thanks to its hit album, composed by Mickey J Meyer. The family drama is directed by Nandini Reddy and is set to release on May 18. The promotions are in full swing and the pre-release event will be attended by none other than Jr. NTR as per the latest update.

Santhosh Soban plays the main lead in this film but he was not the first choice of Nandini Reddy. Speaking in an interview, she says that Vijay Devarakonda was the first choice and she even narrated the script to him. But once Arjun Reddy was released, Vijay Devarakonda's stardom changed overnight and she had no choice but to drop him.

Speaking about Santoosh Soban, Nandini says his name was suggested by Swapna Dutt, the producer of the film. Santosh was screen tested and gave a superb performance during the audition says Nandini. His character is lively, has a charm around him and Santosh has done a superb job says Nandini in her interview.

Anni Manchi Sakunamule has Malavika Nair as the female lead. She too has a key role and Nandini Reddy says the chemistry between the lead pair is going to be super special in the film. Anni Manchi Sakunamule is produced by Swapna Cinema and has hit music by Mickey J Meyer. Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh, and Naresh play key roles in the film.
