There seems to be no respite for the Kapadias, as the latest episode of Anupamaa saw Paritosh barge into the former’s house and cause a scene. Intoxicated, Anupama’s eldest son seemed to have lost his senses in his grief, as he started to raise his voice and proclaim that his mother had made him lose everything. But his charade of trying to kill himself was called out by Anupama, who rightfully schooled the young man about how toxic he was being.

The episode also witnessed one of the rare times that Anuj lost his composure, threatening Paritosh harshly when the latter almost harmed Anupama. Anuj also seemed to have become cross with Anupama as well, although he later clarified that it was the drama he was fed up of, and that he did not hold any ill will for his wife.

Viewers also saw a vulnerable side to Vanraj, as he became more and more unsettled by Paritosh’s erratic behaviour. He realises the pain he put his own parents through in his own days of youth as well.

But Anupama’s woes seem to have no end in the near future, as the promo for the upcoming episode of the show seems to suggest. The promo saw a family picture of Anupama, Anuj and Choti Anu falling on top of a diya. Much to Anupama’s distress, Choti Anu’s picture burnt off completely, with Paritosh arriving to add fuel to the fire.

Anupama’s eldest son asks his mother if she felt any pain upon thinking of Choti Anu coming into any sort of harm. He then sinisterly remarks that Choti Anu will soon burn in the fire that Anupama lit of his own life. The next episode promises a riveting face off between the mother and son, and it remains to be seen what the future has in store for Anupama.

Anupamaa can be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
