As reported earlier, the Tovino Thomas starrer had a stronghold at the box office despite clashing with the romantic comedy Premalu, owing to the positive reviews. The movie was nearing the Rs. 9 crore mark at the box office after four days at the theatres. However, things have drastically changed for Anweshippin Kandethum since February 15. The release of Mammootty’s period horror film Bramayugam has made things difficult for Anweshippin Kandethum.

As per the recent updates, the police investigation thriller made a total collection of around Rs. 10 crore worldwide after 8 days of its release. According to the latest reports by trade experts, the Tovino Thomas-starrer has a gross collection of Rs. 7.25 crore, with a share of Rs. 3.20 crore in the first 8 days in theatres. Anweshippin Kandethum has collected just around Rs. 34 lakh on the 8th day of its release.

Tovino Thomas' film will have a smaller number of screens

As per the latest updates, Anweshippin Kandethum will have around 160 screens across Kerala when it enters the second week of its release. The Tovino Thomas starrer faced a dip even in screen count, as both Bramayugam and Premalu are getting extra shows across the state owing to the excellent reviews and increasing rush. In that case, it is clearly going to impact the second-week box office performance of the film, even though it has been loved by the audiences.
