April 2023 Week 1 OTT movies, web series India releases: From Gaslight, Murder Mystery 2, United Kacche to Agilan, Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat

In the first week of April 2023, many Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Mandarin, English, Japanese, Korean, and Norwegian movies and TV shows will be coming out on OTT platforms.

It's time to say goodbye to March 2023, and with that, the first quarter of 2023 also comes to an end. As April 2023 commences this weekend, OTT platforms have geared up to premiere exciting titles, much to the excitement of the fans. Chitrangda Singh, Vikrant Massey, and Sara Ali Khan star in Gaslight, which will stream on Disney+ Hotstar this Friday. After four years of waiting, Murder Mystery 2, starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, is back on Netflix.

After their runs in theatres, South movies like Agilan, Amigos, and Ayodhi, to name a few, are also coming out on leading OTT platforms.

Agilan - March 31 (ZEE5)

At a Chennai harbour, a crane operator named Agilan is also a smuggler. He is an employee of Paranthaman, a small-time smuggler. Agilan, who is naturally ambitious, makes a deal with businessman Kapoor and is given the task of deporting a man who is in possession of sensitive information about several nations. Inspector Gokul Mehta and a jealous Paranthaman are also causing him problems since they want to apprehend and arrest him for his role as a smuggler.

Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat - March 31 (Netflix)

In London, a girl has an unhealthy obsession with a male. In another reality, a male has feelings for a girl. These two unfulfilled love stories are hurriedly moving in the direction of one another despite obstacles like social rank, caste, religion, and injustice. The Guru of Love, DJ Mohabbat, tells two sad love stories, one musical and one an odd coincidence.

Amigos - April 1 (Netflix)

A guy finds new connections in life and love when he learns about his two doppelgängers online, but danger looms as a secret criminal history is revealed.

Ayodhi - March 31 (ZEE5)

An unexpected catastrophe strikes a family as they travel from Ayodhya to Rameswaram. Will humanity triumph despite tragedy?

Copycat Killer - March 31 (Netflix)

It is based on Miyabe Miyuki's best-selling book of the same name, which was written in Japanese. It is set in the 1990s and follows veteran homicide prosecutor Kuo Hsiao-chi (Wu Kang-ren), who is handling his first-ever case involving a serial killer. Even though the murderer keeps trying to annoy Hsiao-chi, he is determined to find the key piece of evidence that will help solve the case. He would even risk his life to do so.

Doogie Kamelaoha, M.D. Season 2 - March 31 (Disney+ Hotstar)

Lahela has a lot of choices to make this season, including those regarding Walter, Nico, and her medical field of study. Who or what will she ultimately decide on? She is fortunate to have her family, workplace, and closest friend at her side while she navigates this life.

Emergency: NYC - March 29 (Netflix)

This interesting documentary follows New York City's front-line medical staff as they try to balance their personal and professional lives.

From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke - March 30 (Netflix)

Sawako Kuronuma, a first-year high school student, struggles to fit in with her peers and is mockingly referred to as "Sadako" because of her long black hair and fair skin. She meets a boy who chats with her and doesn't worry about the rumours while she goes about her lonely school life. Shota Kazehaya is the most well-liked kid in his class, and everyone adores him for his upbeat disposition. By conversing with Kazehaya, Sawako gradually starts to open up to her fellow students. She starts living the high school life of her dreams, and her feelings towards Kazehaya start to shift.

Gaslight - March 31 (Disney+ Hotstar)

Misha hasn't seen her estranged father in 15 years. When she goes to the royal family estate to see him, she finds that he has disappeared.

Kill Boksoon - March 31 (Netflix)

She is a well-known assassin at work. She raises her teenage daughter alone at home. Killing? That's simple. The most challenging aspect is parenting.

Murder Mystery 2 - March 31 (Netflix)

Nick and Audrey Spitz have been solving murder mysteries for four years when they are asked to go to the wedding of their friend the Maharaja on his private island. Nick and Audrey are now full-time investigators trying to start their own private eye firm. But tragedy comes back to the Spitze family when the groom is taken hostage soon after the party starts. This makes every guest, family member, and even the bride a suspect. The high-stakes case in Murder Mystery 2 gives Nick and Audrey Spitz everything they've ever wanted: a chance for their detective business to finally be successful... and their long-awaited trip to Paris.

Tetris - April 1 (Apple TV+)

The actual account of how one guy risked his life to defeat the KGB and make Tetris a global phenomenon is the basis of a new Apple Original Film starring Taron Egerton.

United Kacche - March 31 (ZEE5)

Even as an unauthorised immigrant, Desi boy Tango is prepared to fulfil his ancestors' goal of settling in England. Follow his journey as he avoids deportation and discovers a new family and love.

Unseen - March 29 (Netflix)

In the thought-provoking crime thriller Unseen, Zenzi Mwale, a timid and seemingly unremarkable cleaning lady, unintentionally kills a key member of a criminal organisation while searching desperately for her husband, who vanished after his release from prison.

Unstable - March 30 (Netflix)

Ellis Dragon is a much-recognised, quirky, and narcissist-inclined biotech entrepreneur who strives to improve the world. His emotions are likewise in free fall. War Sailor - April 2 (Netflix)

A working-class sailor named Alfred Garnes just became a father for the third time. As World War Two begins, he and his childhood buddy Sigbjørn Kvalen (Wally) are working aboard a commercial ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. These are unarmed citizens fighting on the front lines of a conflict they did not initiate. German submarines might strike their priceless vessels at any time as the two men fight for their lives in a spiral of violence and death.
