Have you ever encountered / heard of an incident about April Fool’s Day which went too far and had its dire consequences?
I haven't encountered any such incident. But, I have herd of this incident where some people tried to scare this girl into thinking that she was being kidnapped. They kidnapped her and closed her into a dark room and they would shout from outside. They did not realize that the girl was claustrophobic and that’s why she started getting palpations, which led to loss of breathing and eventually the girl died. Halfway through the prank, when they opened the door and her body just fell! That’s why I always tell people to be in limits in whatever they do or attempt and avoid pushing things to extremities.
Do you think that, with the advent of social media, there are too many pranks?
There are people who do nothing but have an opinion about everything. Then, there’s another set of people who do stuff just for the heck of gaining some popularity or to be noticed where it's right or whether it's wrong. According to me, that’s just not the right way to be famous or gain publicity.
There are also a few prank videos which result in having adverse effects. Do you think that such videos should be banned?
I would like to tell everyone to have fun, but, keep the fun to its lightest. Please do not go to extremes. April 1 is a fun day. Hence, just enjoy yourself enjoy the pranks.
