Aranmanai 4, the 2024 Tamil film starring filmmaker in the lead role, recently debuted on streaming platform and is available on Disney+ Hotstar. While the film was a box office success, after it streamed, Aranmanai 4 invited a fair share of trolls on social media, for its unintentional humorous sequences.

Aranmanai 4 gets trolled online

For the uninitiated, Aranmanai 4 is the fourth instalment of Sundar C’s horror comedy franchise. The recent instalment released on May 3 to mixed and positive reviews. However, the film was considered as a box office success, in an otherwise dull phase of Tamil Nadu’s 2024 cinema landscape.

After its theatrical run, Aranmanai 4 made its streaming debut on Disney+ Hotstar recently. The film is available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Upon this, a section of netizens has been trolling the film, particularly one scene that involves actor Tamannaah Bhati who plays a crucial role in Aranmanai 4. Apart from this, the film has also been getting lukewarm response from people who watched it online. Check out some reactions below.

In the film, Sundar C plays a Chennai-based lawyer who gets to know a bad news about his eloped sister and her family. As he goes to her village to check on the happenings, the brother gets to know that there is a human flesh-feasting spirit called Baak haunting the people.

Aranmanai 4 is part of Sundar C’s film franchise by the same name. Each part can be consumed as a standalone movie with a different storyline and cast. Apart from Sundar C, the film also stars Tamannaah, Raashii Khanna, Santhosh Pratap, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Delhi Ganesh, Kovai Sarala, and others. Actors Simran and Khushbu also make cameo appearance in a song for the film.

The technical crew consists of Hiphop Tamizha scoring the music and cinematographer E Krishnasamy, aka Kicha. The film is edited by Fenny Oliver.
