Arindam Sil intrigues fans with his new avatar

Arindam Sil has turned into a monk! His new name is Swami Karunananda. He wears a milky white dhoti and a kurta. There is a rosary at his neck and his hand shows a blessing sign. A ray is coming from his body. Such is the oil painting. Arindam stands in front of the painting wearing the same attire.

What happened? He was busy shooting just a few days back. Will the audience not get any more Feluda, Byomkesh, or Sonada? Arindam unveiled the mystery. He said that he will act in Rajorshee De's upcoming film Sada Ronger Prithibi. He plays that role here, and he is happy with the character. He loves acting along with directing since acting is his strong forte. 

Why did Rajorshee choose Arindam for this role? He told Aajkaal.in, “Arindam da is one of the finest actors in Bengali cinema. Anjan Dutt and Koushik Ganguly regularly act along with directing films. But we do not get Arindam Sil much in acting. I recently watched Aniruddha Roychoudhury's Lost and thought about that.” Then he thought why such an actor is not in his film. He promptly acted. However, he was a bit scared before asking Arindam, since this is a negative character. What if he does not agree? Rajorshee also hoped that perhaps Arindam would say yes. And it happened so. Arindam's shooting took place in Benaras and Kolkata. 

Many celebrities, including Devlina Kumar and Rajorshee himself, are mesmerized by Arindam's new look. However, one fan teasingly wrote that Arindam wore a saffron dhuti while it was blue outside.
