The team kickstarted their promotions by a visit to theatre in Coimbatore

The team of Arun Vijay's Yaanai has begun the promotions for the action entertainer. The film, directed by Hari, is all set to hit screens on June 17. The actor and the director kickstarted the promotions with a theatre visit in Coimbatore recently. The makers shared pictures from the promotions on their social media handle.
They wrote, "#Yaanai 🐘 Promotion kickstarts in style Our dir #DirectorHARI & our hero @arunvijayno1 at @kgcinemas, Coimbatore for Theatre Visit #YaanaiFromJune17 @priya_Bshankar @gvprakash @thondankani @ZEE5Tamil @ZeeTamil @KKRCinemas @ertviji @Ammu_Abhirami (sic)." The team later visited theatres in Tiruppur and Erode as well.
This is the first time that brother-in-laws Hari and Arun Vijay are teaming up for a film. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the leading lady in Yaanai. The supporting cast includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Ammu Abhirami and KGF fame Ramachandra Raju. Gangai Amaren is also said to be making his comeback in front of the camera.
Gopinath has cranked the camera and editing is handled by Anthony. Music for Yaanai is by GV Prakash Kumar. Lyrics for the songs are by Snehan, Ekadasi and Arivu. Baba Baskar and Dhina have jointly choreographed the dance moves.and Anl Arasu are in charge of the art direction and stunt choreography respectively.
Speaking at a promotional event of the event, director Hari had said that the taste of the audience is changing rapidly and that he has adapted the film to suit their tastes. Hari said that he has tried something new with Yaanai and that the film is packed with emotions along with some heavy-duty-action.
Priya Bhavani Shankar, the leading lady of the film, said that this is Hari's 2.0 version and added that there are no glamorous sets in the film unlike other films of Hari. Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel has bankrolled the film under Drumsticks Productions. The film has been titled Enugu in Telugu and both versions will release simultaneously.
