Ashwin Babu, Digangana Suryavanshi pair up for Gandharwa fame Apsar’s next

Ashwin Babu, who earned acclaim for his comeback film Hidimbha earlier this year, has signed another new project with a young team. He is pairing up alongside Digangana Suryavanshi for the same. The latter has earlier worked on films like Crazy Fellow, Seetimaarr, Valayalam, to name a few. Apsar, who helmed Sandeep Madhav’s Gandharwa in 2022, wields the megaphone for the untitled project.

The film formally commenced with a private pooja ceremony in the presence of the cast, crew and other dignitaries from the fraternity on Sunday. Maheshwar Reddy Mooli of Ganga Entertainments forays as a producer with the new-age tale. Producers Sudhakar Reddy, Tagore Madhu, Shirish Reddy, Errabelli Vijay Kumar Rao lit the lamp at the event.

While Solo Brathuke So Better fame Subbu Mangadevi switched on the camera for the muhurat shot, Naandhi fame Vijay Kanakamedala sounded the clapboard. Bimbisara, Mega 156 director Vassishta directed the first sequence. The makers promise a refreshing story with a riveting screenplay. The regular shoot of the film commenced today in Hyderabad.

“I am thrilled to be associating with Ashwin Babu for a film. He scored a hit with Hidimbha recently. He is coming back with another interesting project with us. The first schedule will be held in Hyderabad. The film has a talented cast and crew. Other details surrounding the project will be shared shortly,” the producer shared. Hyper Aadi plays another pivotal role in the film.

Chota K Prasad has been roped in as an editor for the same while Dasaradhi Sivendra, who recently worked on HanuMan, is the cinematographer. Sahi Suresh is the production designer and Hidimbha composer Vikas Badisa continues his association with Ashwin Babu with the project. While director Apsar’s previous film Gandharwa is on Amazon Prime Video, Ashwin’s Hidimbha is out on aha.
