Avatar The Way Of Water Box Office Collection Day 2: James Cameron's film takes a big jump!

Avatar: The Way Of Water has finally been released in theatres after much anticipation. It has received a sizable number from advance bookings, and the film also had a strong opening at the box office.

The Indian box office for Avatar: The Way of Water got off to a flying start. Approximately Rs 40.50 crore was made at the box office on December 16 by the James Cameron-directed film, according to trade estimates. Avatar 2 is now the second-highest box office release in the Indian market as a result. The first was the 2019 movie Avengers: Endgame, which brought in Rs 53.10 crore on its first day of release. 

According to recent patterns, Avatar 2 ended Day 2 with sales between Rs 44 and Rs 46 crore. It represents a significant increase above its Day 1 collection. As a result, the overall sum is now close to Rs 100 crore.

It has a staggering global value of Rs 1500 crore. Avatar 2 is anticipated to gross more than Rs 130 crore over its debut weekend in India. If everything works out, the movie may even gross more than Rs 200 crore in its first week!

According to media sources, Avatar 2 tickets cost a whopping Rs 2500 at premium multiplexes. Earlier, some regions in the National Capital Region sold out of the Rs 2500 seats for Black Panther 2. Additionally, premium multiplexes sold tickets for Spiderman: No Way Home and Brahmastra for prices exceeding Rs 2000.

Avatar: The Way of Water, the follow-up to Avatar, was released on December 16, more than a decade later. The movie follows the lives of Jake, Neytiri, and their children, who make up the Sully family. The scenario is based on how Sullys responds to Quaritch and his tribe attacking them in Steven Lang's novel. The focus of the sequel is mainly on preserving families and focusing on interpersonal ties. Leading actors in the movie include Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana, and Kate Winslet. The film is currently playing in theatres in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
