Unfortunately, it is the endgame for the Avengers team. Avengers: Endgame, the film which is based on the MC superhero team, is the final Avengers movie, said Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios.

Feige was speaking on the Disney+ documentary, Assembled: The Making of Eternals when he reportedly broke the news. The producer said with the release of the Avengers: Endgame, they have completed a 22-movie Infinity Saga. "Where do we go from there? Where do we start? And what we really wanted to do was two things: start fresh, with whole new characters, new storylines, but actually go back to some of the deepest, richest mythology in all of Marvel comics," he said, according to digitalspy.

Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are now past their 10th anniversary. Feige had earlier, last year, hinted at the possibility of Avengers 5 during an interaction with IGN. He had then said, "I would have to think [we could see more]. I would have to say yes, at some point." He then went on to joke, according to the portal, and said, "It's a good title. Could use that."

When Avengers: Endgame released three years ago, Feige had said that if a follow-up story were to happen, it would focus on a different incarnation of the superhero team with some old and new superheroes.

The news of not having another Avengers movie can be heartbreaking but the fact that the makers are now exploring the multiverse saga can come as a relief since it could get some of our old superheroes back on the screen. The crossover between MCU superheroes can be seen in the upcoming movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Led by Benedict Cumberbatch, the film will release on May 6.

Meanwhile, Avengers: Endgame can be streamed on Disney+Hotstar.
