Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey has seen a major drop in Box Office collections from its opening day. Considering the bad weekend this film had, it is only bound to get worse on its first Monday. According to Box Office India, the movie could earn Rs. 4 crores nett, that too on a good day.

Bachchhan Paandey is expected to mint Rs. 3-4 crores on its first Monday. The movie saw a dip on the weekend itself and earned Rs. 11.5 crores on Sunday. It minted Rs. 12.5 crores on its opening day.

Since it is the first working day Monday and the festival of Holi, which could have saved the film, did not save it, Bachchhan Paandey is not expected to fare more than Rs. 4 crores on its first Monday. That is usually not the case with an Akshay Kumar film but given the circumstances, Bachchhan Paandey might definitely suffer at the Box Office.

Bachchhhan Paandey has lesser screens than The Kashmir Files and thus, the movie does not have enough scope to earn a lot at the Box Office. Not only Bachchhan Paandey but Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi was also affected for the same reason.

If Bachchhan Paandey earns Rs. 4 crores on its first Monday, the movie still does not reach or cross Rs. 50 crores. It has earned Rs. 34.75 crores over the weekend and thus, the movie’s Box Office will only touch Rs. 40 crores.

Considering Bachchhan Paandey is a big release and especially an Akshay Kumar film, the Box Office collections come as a huge shock. According to trade experts, the movie is suffering due to the timing of its release, since many viewers want to watch The Kashmir Files rather than Bachchhan Paandey.

While Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files earn tremendous praises and Box Office numbers, Bachchhan Paandey has failed to create a magic in both the spaces. While a few have liked the film for the performances, others have completely bashed the film for various reasons. Most of them called it a ‘movie with no script’. If word-of-mouth for Bachchhan Paandey doesn’t pick up, then the movie might be one of the first Akshay Kumar films to go off cinemas soon after its release.
