Kriti Sanon is certainly keeping busy these days, working on a string of films, which have got cinephiles buzzing with excitement. The star is awaiting the release of her latest project with Bollywood heavyweight Akshay Kumar, titled Bachchhan Paandey. The makers recently unveiled the star’s first look from the film, featuring Sanon in quite a daring avatar.

Kumar took to his official social media handles to unveil the new poster. It sees Kumar donned in the trademark look of the protagonist, which was revealed in previous posters, complete with sunglasses, a red bandana and beads around his neck. Sanon is seen riding pillion on a bike with him, brandishing a gun and sporting an intense look on her face. While Kumar essays the role of the titular protagonist, Sanon’s character is called Myra Devekar.

The upcoming film is touted to be a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Sanon will play a role of an aspiring filmmaker, who decides to make a gangster film, depicting the life of a real-life gangster. The film marks Sanon and Kumar’s most recent collaboration after 2019’s Housefull 4.

The upcoming movie is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Samji has also written the film along with Nischay Kuttanda. In addition to Sanon and Kumar, the film also features Jacqueline Fernandez in a pivotal role, alongside Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, and Prateik Babbar. The film’s trailer will be out tomorrow, on February 18.

Bachchhan Paandey is slated to be released in theatres on March 18, 2022. The streaming rights to the film have been bagged by Amazon Prime Video.
