The massive buzz around the release of two big-budget movies that clashed at the box office this Eid has dominated the headlines for a while. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan have both had a decent noise made around them ahead of the release. The movies have now hit the big screen, and both have managed to make a good buzz. While Maidaan has better reviews than that of BMCM, the public attention was always more on the side of the latter. Now as they clash on the big screen against each other, the report for day one is out, and it says that the Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer has won the race with a much upper hand but is still not a profitable affair in the larger scheme of things.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan vs Maidaan Box Office:

For the uninitiated, both Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan were released on Eid 2024. The two films have had an unconventional release format, and that did grab eyeballs. As we reported earlier, the advance bookings, the promotions, and everything around it were running parallel for both the movies, and we now stand on the result day. As per the numbers that are reported by Sacnilk, it is Bade Miyan Chote Miyan who has won with a collection Of Rs 15.5 crore on day one. Which is a decent number but not good for a movie that is equivalent in budget to many biggies.

However, in the box race of day 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is over Rs 8 crore superior to Maidaan and has a box office collection of Rs 7.10 crore in its kitty, including the paid previews that minted Rs 2.60 crore for the film. But one can also say that the release of both the movies on the same day has divided the audience impacting the box office collection of both movies. The real litmus test stands tomorrow for the films as they will be entering their first weekend, and it will be fun to see who comes out glorious considering they had the privilege of an extended weekend.

About Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Box Office:

Even with a collection of Rs 15.5 crore, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has still not managed to make any dent. Yes, it is the second biggest opener of the head after Fighter which earned Rs 24.6 crore on the opening day, but it has not managed to replicate even half the magic some of the big movies created last year. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan had opened to Rs 75 crore. Considering BMCM was on Eid, estimations were expecting a number over Rs 20 crore at least, but the movie hasn’t even managed to come close to it.

About Maidaan:

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan is a better film amongst the two if the reviews are to be considered. However, the movie has faded in comparison to Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, but it will be too soon to judge as word of mouth might turn the tables entirely, and Maidaan might come out glorious on the other side of the first weekend of the film.
