Badhaai Do trailer: Witness Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar's 'Lavendar marriage' in this comedy of errors

As promised by the makers, the trailer for Badhaai Do is finally out. The film has brought the powerhouse performers Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar together on the big screen for the first time, and it's safe to assume that they'll be one of the most loved combinations.

Badhaai Do promises to be as hilarious as Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhaai Ho in terms of finding hilarity in unexpected places. While Badhaai Ho showed us how a middle-aged couple's love may lead to some humorous events, Badhaai Do appears to be tackling another such odd relationship and telling their narrative through comedy of errors situations. Of course, there's a baby where there's marriage and comedy.

The trailer depicts Rajkummar and Bhumi in a marital environment, only to reveal that there are many secrets between them to be revealed. Getting into a convenient marriage and living as roommates leads to amusing scenarios between the two, making this one a great family entertainer. This family drama is not only full of laughs and tears, but it also tackles a socially pertinent matter that we saw in the teaser. While little is known about the plot, the film's theme gently accentuates the concept of "lavender marriage," making it a must-see.

In addition to Rajkummar and Bhumi, Harshavardhan Kulkarni's family entertainer features an ensemble cast that includes Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Chum Darang, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey, and Shashi Bhushan, among others, who play crucial parts and propel the story along.

The Junglee Pictures film "Badhaai Do" is written by Akshat Ghildial and Suman Adhikary. The film will be released in theaters on February 11, 2022.
