Sreeja Dutta is all set to play Indubala opposite Dev in Arun Roy’s Bagha Jatin. In a recent interview, she talked about her experience of working with Dev.

In an interview with Aajkaal Dot In, said that both the identities – being Dev’s heroine and playing Bagha Jatin’s wife – became important to her. “But the most important identity is Indubala Debi,” she said. “I can't express how moved I am. I am excited, elated, and nervous,” she added.

Sreeja was selected for the role after beating six thousand others. Talking about the selection, she said. “That was surprising. There were six thousand girls. I don't know how I passed. Later I came to know that my face cutting has some similarities with that of Indubala Debi. I supposedly look like women of that time.”

Talking about her friend’s reaction after bagging the role, Sreeja said, “They were flabbergasted. Then they became happy. My semester was going on at that time. I shot the previous day and went for the examination the next morning. My friends helped me by providing notes. I could not do without them.”

Sreeja did a music video with Raj Chakraborty and worked in an ad film with Mimi Chakraborty. Did those things help her remove camera shyness during the audition? “I was camera shy. I did those works at a young age. I was scared like others during the audition. But Team Bagha Jatin removed those fears,” she said.

Talking about her preparations, the actress said, “Director Arun Roy mentored me. He has vast knowledge and shaped me according to his needs. He explained what changes I needed to bring, what I needed to learn, and how he wanted to see me on screen. I blindly followed him. Dev da was also there,” she said.
